Continuity Insights Management Conference

Bill Siegel, CEO and Co-founder of Coveware, a cyber incident response firm that focuses on helping businesses recover from ransomware attacks, will be the keynote speaker at the 8th annual Continuity Insights New York Conference discussing “The Ransomware Industrial Complex – How it Targets Enterprises.” The conference will take place on October 21, 2019 at Credit Suisse, 11 Madison Avenue, New York, NY.

Siegel’s presentation will focus on explaining how enterprises are a cog in the global cyber crime marketplace. Rather than focusing on tactical security advice, his discussion will educate the audience on how the ransomware supply chain/marketplace works and how they can make their organizations a harder target to hit.

How much does a ransomware attack cost? Siegel will examine the total expense, which is shared between two main components – the recovery cost and the cost of downtime.

Siegel was previously the CFO of SecurityScorecard, a New York-based cyber security ratings company.  Prior to SecurityScorecard, he was the CEO of Secondmarket and served as the Head of NASDAQ Private Market following NASDAQ’s acquisition of SecondMarket. You can follow him on Twitter @billseagull.

Siegel joins an impressive, expanded line-up of subject matter experts at this year’s Continuity Insights New York Conference who will be addressing critical topics that will help you stretch your boundaries, form collaborations, gain exposure to first-hand knowledge, and learn how to incorporate exciting new skills, methods, and tools into your own business continuity plans.
