Continuity Insights Management Conference

FEMA has released a refreshed National Incident Management System (NIMS) doctrine, providing a common, nationwide approach to enable the whole community to work together to manage all threats and hazards. Lessons learned from exercises and real-world incidents, best practices, and changes in national policy have been incorporated in updated version.

According to FEMA, the new doctrine also clarifies the processes and terminology for qualifying, certifying, and credentialing incident personnel, building a foundation for the development of a national qualification system.

FEMA will also be hosting a series of webinars to provide information on the update. For more information go to https://www.fema.gov/latest-news-updates.
