Zerto Places in 2021 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions

Zerto, an industry leader in cloud data management and protection, today announced that the Zerto Platform has been positioned by Gartner as a Niche Player in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions.1 The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analyzed the company’s overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“We are confident that appearing in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the first time is the result of our determination to build a cloud data management and protection platform that can fully support any organization’s data protection and cloud strategy and shows the progress we have made as a disaster recovery (DR) vendor to a recognized backup vendor as well,” said Ziv Kedem, CEO, Zerto. “By combining backup, DR, and data mobility into a single, simple software platform we’ve gained more than 9,000 global customers by offering our journal-based continuous data protection (CDP) technology with the ability to recover within minutes to the original state just seconds before any disruption. We feel this is recognition of the hard work our talented team contributes every day.”

The Zerto platform is built on a foundation of CDP and characterized by its converged functions of continuous backup, disaster recovery, and data mobility in a single cloud data management and protection platform. Zerto’s always-on nature means no more scheduling, snapshots, or overseeing backup copies. The technology unlocks a wide range of use cases, including migrations, data reuse and enabling, on-demand test, and development sandboxes that are only seconds behind production. All made possible by built-in orchestration and automation that eliminates manual processes and drives efficiencies by taking the pain out of data protection.

Magic Quadrant reports are a culmination of rigorous, fact-based research in specific markets, providing a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the providers in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct. Providers are positioned into four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players. The research enables you to get the most from market analysis in alignment with your unique business and technology needs.
