World Cares Center (WCC) “Supporting Puerto Rico” Fundraiser Scheduled

The World Cares Center (WCC), founded in the aftermath of the attacks of September 11, has scheduled a “Supporting Puerto Rico” fundraiser for December 7, 2017 at the Brooklyn Brewery.

WCC is leading efforts and will open 13 Volunteer Reception and Resiliency Centers (VRC) in partnership with local community and faith leaders, Puerto Rican non-profit groups and the Mayors of Humacao and Punta Santiago to meet the most pressing needs of their communities.

WCC fosters sustainable, locally-led disaster preparedness, responses, and recovery initiatives within communities worldwide. Throughout its decade of service, WCC has provided assistance to responders, volunteers, and survivors affected by 9/11, and continues to guide all levels within communities to respond effectively and collaboratively in the face of disasters. This “whole of community” inclusive approach leads to a more resilient recovery.
