Strategies for the ultimate resilient organization, giving back to the community, high-level networking, and the exchange of strategies and ideas were all on display at the 2020 Continuity Insights Management Conference.

Continuity Insights concluded its 20th annual conference at the Omni Hotel in Louisville, KY, last week, combining more than 55 sessions focusing on strategies for the ultimate resilient organization with the spirit of collaboration and some relaxing fun and games.

The conference was attended by some of the discipline’s leading practitioners, industry experts, thought leaders, and vendor representatives. Conferees exchanged insights and ideas on critical issues affecting both veteran business continuity practitioners and professionals coming up through the ranks.

Session tracks dedicated to case studies, emerging issues, professional development, program development & advancement, measurement/metrics/maturity, trending topics, and “ask the experts” panel discussions provided attendees with lessons learned and key takeaways from experienced business continuity professionals responsible for the integrity, availability, resilience, and security of their organizations.

As the 20th annual conference’s high-level educational experience continued, those in attendance also took a much-deserved break from the intense learning exchange to have some fun and unwind during “The Best of Louisville” night, where conferees engaged in some healthy competition and comradery participating in the Continuity Derby, featuring four run-for-the-roses thoroughbred horse races where participants selected their picks for win/place/show. Additionally, the evening featured the Best of Louisville Trivia Challenge, as well two Bourbon Tastings hosted by a certified Kentucky Coronel. The night also included Kentucky’s finest cuisine, featuring the Hot Brown, and of course, fried chicken.

Attendees also spent time in the exhibit hall during the week, meeting with more than 30 technology and service providers, and exploring the latest solutions for business continuity planning and program development, disaster recovery, and enterprise risk management.

The 2023 Continuity Insights Management Conference (#CIMC2023) is scheduled for April 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, MN. Visit continuityinsights.com/events for news and updates.

The Call for Proposals to present at next year’s conference will be announced in the coming weeks. Contact Bob Nakao, Executive Publisher, at 267-980-6151, bob@continuityinsights.com, for more information.
