In a current article on Continuity Central.com, editor David Honour discusses the brand’s recent To BIA or not to BIA… Revisited survey’s finding that confirmed that the business impact analysis (BIA) is vital to the business continuity process.

But he asks if that’s the end of the discussion. He refers to the “bipolar state of the ‘keep the BIA as it is’ and ‘ditch the BIA’ discussion.” He contends that rather than to BIA or not to BIA, organizations should ask how much BIA information they realistically generate with available resources, or should they aim for something more pragmatic.
