The 2018 Continuity Insights Management Conference Preps for Miami

How can you achieve new heights of resiliency within your organization? The 2018 Continuity Insights Management Conference scheduled for April 23-25 in Miami, Florida, offers an inside track. More than 70 featured sessions and seven individual educational tracks highlight the 16th annual meeting. The conference educational tracks are devoted to Case Studies, Trending Topics, Program Development & Advancement, Measurement, Metrics, and Maturity, Emerging Technology, and Professional Development, as well as the highly-anticipated “Ask the Experts” panels.

The full conference program, including speakers, sessions, plenaries, and panel discussions, is available for download here.

The preliminary schedule kicks off on Sunday, April 22 with a selection of pre-conference workshops and certification classes, providing in-depth learning related to key business continuity and resilience topics. The pre-conference workshops will be followed by the “Get Certified!” opening night reception hosted by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).

The main conference will commence on Monday, April 23. The opening keynote, Don’t Talk to the Media Until…Being an Effective Spokesperson in Today’s Digital Age, will be presented by international crisis communications expert, coach, trainer, and author Gerard Braud, CSP, Fellow IEC.

Braud’s keynote session will explore why speed is critical in both event response and communications response. In this digital age, the story about your response can easily get hijacked by others, hastening the need for your organization to issue a statement to all audiences, including the media. Braud will unlock his vault of secrets to help you be better prepared to today’s communications realities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other practitioners during attendee breakfasts, lunches, breaks between sessions, and a second reception in the exhibit hall on Monday evening. More than 50 business continuity service providers and consultants will be demonstrating products and answering questions in a relaxed setting during exhibit hours.

The main conference program will conclude at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25.

Post-conference certification and workshops will be conducted on Thursday and Friday, April 26-27. Both pre- and post-conference programs are available to all attendees for an additional fee outside the conference registration.
