Spear Phishing, Vishing, Smishing – There’s More Than One Forming of Phishing

The latest Verizon Data Breach Investigations report indicates that 98% of all social attacks during the reporting period were the result of phishing. And while only 4% of those surveyed said they fell for a phishing attack, one employee is all it takes to comprise and entire organization.

There are many forms of phishing attacks where hackers attempt to bait the unsuspected. Spear phishing, vishing, and smishing are just a few variations that we should all be aware of when it comes to receiving suspect emails, texts, and phone calls.
