Recent earthquakes in California have spurred scores of families and individuals, not only in the state, but across the country to begin preparing their own emergency supply kits in anticipation of the next big hit. The American Red Cross recommends having a three-day-supply of essential items if you’re forced to evacuate and two weeks of supplies if you remain in your home.
