Learn From the Experts
The 2019 Continuity Insights Management Conference faculty is comprised of proven business continuity leaders, strategists, practitioners, and peers. Many of them are current business continuity and resiliency professionals; others are well-respected industry leaders who provide unique insights on the business continuity landscape and have experienced first-hand the situations you want to know about.

The full conference program, including speakers, sessions, plenaries, and panel discussions, is available for download here.

The preliminary schedule kicks off on Sunday, April 14 with a selection of pre-conference workshops and certification classes, providing in-depth learning related to key business continuity and resilience topics. The pre-conference workshops will be followed by the opening night reception hosted by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and will include the presentation of the 2019 BCI Americas Awards.

The main conference will commence on Monday, April 15 with the opening keynote, Emerging Technology Impact: The “Need-to-Knows” for Business Continuity Professionals, to be presented by author, technologist, and entrepreneur, Peter O’Dell.

O’Dell will explore 5G, IOT, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain sensors, drones, robots, and more –technologies that are no longer emerging, but are embraced by the business, and as a result, rapidly crossing our business continuity threshold. Operational use demands a continuity plan as they are deployed, and many can enhance response greatly. He’ll touch on the various short and long-term implications, what should be the priorities for business continuity professionals, which technologies matter, and when/how will it impact your BCM program.

Continuing Education
The rate of change within the profession mandates that business continuity practitioners remain current with industry certifications. It’s the unspoken commitment to serving organizations of all sizes to ensure that continue to operate at full capacity without interruption. Attendance at the 2019 conference will provide 29 continuing education credits (CEUs).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other practitioners during attendee breakfasts, lunches, breaks between sessions, and a second reception in the exhibit hall on Monday evening. More than 50 business continuity service providers and consultants will be demonstrating products and answering questions in a relaxed setting during exhibit hours.

The main conference program will conclude at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.

Post-conference certification and workshops will commence immediately following the conference, beginning on Wednesday, April 17 and continuing through to Saturday, April 20. Both pre- and post-conference programs are available to all attendees for an additional fee outside the conference registration.
