Nearly seven in 10 healthcare organizations have experienced disruption to patient care due to cyber attacks, according to a third annual Ponemon Institute Report.
With 809 data breaches, the healthcare industry faced the highest number of cyberattacks in 2023, up 136% from 2022. The financial services industry is the second most at-risk industry, with 744 data violation cases in 2023, up 177%.
