Castellan’s Brian Zawada Releases Debut Book on Business Continuity

Castellan COO Brian Zawada has announced the release of The Business Continuity Operating System (BCOS), his debut book that explores how to strengthen the seven core elements that differentiate a high-performing business continuity program from an under-performing one.

“As an advisor and consultant who has worked with hundreds of organizations over the years, I have seen all kinds of problems get in the way of achieving the right level of resilience,” said Zawada. “And this past year, especially, revealed gaps in many businesses to truly protect their customers, employees, brand, and bottom-line. This book aims to demystify the topic of business continuity by providing actionable guidance on how to avoid the most common mistakes at a time when companies need help the most.”

A 25-year industry veteran, Zawada has actively managed internal business continuity programs and consulted with public and private sector organizations around the world. He previously served as the Head of the United States Delegation to ISO Technical Committee 223, the authors of ISO 22301. Additionally, he led the project team that created ISO 22317, the business impact analysis standard, and ISO 22331, the business continuity strategy determination standard.

Zawada draws on this experience to help readers engage stakeholders, identify and resolve issues that are draining energy from their program, and achieve the right level of resilience within their organization. Through the combination of storytelling and a detailed technical overview, readers discover how to align business continuity to the strategic goals of the organization and generate meaningful engagement to drive success.

The book is available for purchase on Amazon, here.
