The Business Continuity Institute’s (BCI) latest report, Technology & Business Continuity in Organisational Resilience, aims to determine how business continuity professionals should work with their counterparts in IT/Cyber departments to increase resilience across the organization.
The topic of resilience – and particularly how departments can improve their resilience by working together – is one of the most important subject areas for businesses today. Given the popularity of this subject, the upcoming BCI report will focus on one particular area, that of BC and IT.
This report, to be produced in conjunction with Sungard Availability Services, seeks to determine what typical working practices take place, determine what marks a “successful” marriage between the two departments, and what the key challenges are. It will also examine the role of the board and will use case studies to provide real life examples of best practices.
