Hurricane Preparedness

A hurricane is a swirling storm with high winds that forms over the water and sometimes comes ashore. Most hurricanes form during the late summer and fall over the tropical waters to our south. They sometimes impact our region with rain and wind. Because the path of these slow-moving storms can be predicted fairly accurately, we have plenty of time to take precautions.
