Continuity Insights Management Conference

According to figures compiled by The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the United States experienced 16 weather and climate disasters during 2017. Losses for each disaster exceeded $1 billion and the new total of approximately $306 billion made it the costliest year on record for the US.

The biggest disaster instances included the western states’ wildfires with damages of $18 billion, and Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, and Irma, who’s losses exceeded $265 billion combined.
